Wednesday, July 12 is last day to register to vote for the Aug 8 Special Election

If you’re not yet registered to vote, Wednesday, July 12 is the last day to register to be eligible to vote in the August 8 Special Election.

All Boone County residents will be able to vote for or against the .5% sales tax for county roads and bridges (reducing property tax by same amounts). To learn more about the pros and cons of this issue, come to the Muleskinners program on Friday July 28.

Voters in the Missouri 50th House District will be able to help turn MO Blue by voting for Michela Skelton.   Michela will also be at the 50th District Candidates Forum at the Muleskinners on Friday, July 14.

To check your voter registration, to check which House district you live in, to find your precinct number and polling location, and to see your sample ballot, visit the Boone County Clerk website.

Off-year special elections usually have very low voter turnout. This means that YOUR vote will carry a LOT MORE WEIGHT than voting in statewide or national elections!
